Re: Third Quarter Update – 20xx
A lot has happened since my last quarterly update that I am optimistic about.
Even though it was the traditionally slow summer vacation period, we managed to maintain our overall sales volume levels. I am very encouraged by this because I see it as more evidence of a pattern of consistency that has been emerging that demonstrates that we are capable of sustaining our performance levels over time, in spite of seasonal and cyclical market fluctuations.
In addition, we already have a number of initiatives underway or planned that I believe will allow us to be even more productive and better than ever at “exceeding our customers expectations”.
Between now and the end of this year we will continue to develop innovative technology platforms designed to further streamline our operations and enhance the products and services that we offer our customers. In fact, I believe that our ongoing efforts to continuously improve the products, services and pricing mix that we offer to both our customers and our agents will be a never-ending quest if we are to stay at the forefront of our industry.
I am excited and optimistic about our establishment of DRS Team-India in late September. The daily hand-off of files-in-process from DRS Team-USA to DRS Team-India should significantly reduce average sales processing and contract drawing times. There are plans to add additional tasks to DRS Team-India which will further provide a major competitive advantage over all of our competitors. Related to this last point, I want to thank all of those on Team-USA who offered an unconditional “yes” when asked if they would be willing to visit our operation in India to provide training and team building assistance.
DRS continues to invest heavily in both capital and time in developing technology-based automation tools and systems that will streamline our operations and improve our productivity at all levels so that we can continually offer our agents innovative products and services. When fully implemented, the multiple modules of our new DRS ePower automated sales and follow-up system will give us a powerful and robust technology platform that will seamlessly adjust to meet our increasing support and service needs as we grow and expand our operations over time.
In addition to the ongoing and organic growth of our current operations, we are now considering the possibility of making some targeted acquisitions of small IT sales and service operations. These will be strategic acquisitions of companies with business models and cultures that mesh with those of DRS, and they will be in geographical locations that are also compatible with our operations.
Thanks for your help in achieving another great quarter for DRS. We continue to make steady and encouraging progress towards our $5 million per month target. I have no doubts that if we continue to work as a team committed to exceeding our customers expectations we will move ever closer to that goal.
