Meeting Agenda Sample

A meeting agenda is the primary tool that is used to plan, conduct and record business meetings in any field of endeavor.

A meeting agenda should not exceed one page but it is important that it contain enough information to allow all participants to properly prepare for the upcoming meeting in terms of exactly what will be discussed and what supporting documents they will need to take to the meeting.

The meeting agenda is always sent to the expected participants a few days before the meeting to give them time to prepare. Exact time and location of the meeting should headline the agenda in order to ensure that everyone will show up at the right time and place.

In general, the more well thought out and presented the meeting agenda is, the more productive the meeting will be for all participants and the organization.

The sample meeting agenda below was set up in MS-Word and contains all of the key information elements that you should include when designing your own meeting agenda.
